Hello All,

I am a US citizen living in the USA and my financee is a UK citizen living in the UK. We have not filed a K1 visa yet, we are exploring our options and are looking for calcification on the limitations of both her and myself traveling to visit one another while a K1 Visa is filed and in the process of being reviewed.

Questions:

Can the petitioner travel out side the USA while a K1 is being processed?

- if yes, are there any stipulations and/or pre-authorization clearances needed?

Can the beneficiary living outside the USA, come to visit me in the USA for less than 3 months, on a Visa Waiver?

- Are there any restrictions?

- What should my financee declare at immigration?

I would prefer to have responses from couples who have had personal experience with this process or those who know the law.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

Take the time to read the pinned thread at the top of the forum, "Yes You Can Visit.." for some good information:

Good luck.

A US citizen can travel any time they want to and no it doesn't affect your petition.

A beneficiary can visit depending on the requirements to visit the USA. See the link referenced. :D
