One quick question on bank statements: We had joint account and it was used for all of our expenses , but last year we had overdraft, and bank account was closed and now we don’t have joint account. I don’t know to send last year statements or not ?

Most applicants provide the Joint bank statements as an evidence of inter-mixing of finances. But just sending the last year statements without latest ones most likely will lead to a RFE. Please check your other evidences on the inter-mixing of finances - like a joint ownship of a house or car or ... If you have other strong evidence of inter-mixing of finances, then don't send.

We're in a similar situation. I sent what statements we had and on cover letter I wrote "Statements of PNC joint banking account. Account closed in 2012" Then I also added the couple of statements we have from our new joint account. I figured this would show that we did have joint financial responsibilities throughout marriage and explains why our new account is so recent (didn't want them to think we opened. It just cuz if ROC).
