Where will i130 go if i file today

Hi Guys,

I am about to submit all my requirements. Just about done, but Im afraid that I am missing just one more, and it wont be ready till Monday. If I submit everything by next week to the Phoenix lock box, by next week, and I am from San diego, California, Will my I130 be forwarded to CSC? Will it be forwarded to some other office? Will it be forwarded to a local office here in San Diego, maybe the sandiego office or the chula vista office? I know there is nothing certain, but maybe you guys know the chances of these things, and I heard as of this moment CSC isnt taking any I130s. And Do you guys know this would affect my timeline?

A small note: My request is a single I130 petition for my wife. NO I485

I am also a US citizen.

I-130s are now adjudicated by the local office having jurisdiction over the petitioner's place of residence.

You can determine your local office by entering your zip code here: https://egov.uscis.g....office_type=LO

Local offices seem to take much less time to process I-130s than the service centres did.

I do not have any idea if that is a good thing or a bad thing. Is adjudication by a Local office/ District office better than a Service center? Say the CSC, NSC, NBC?

I think you would be filing for a IR-1 visa since it says you were married in 2008

Not all cases go to Local office, my case went to NBC directly. looks like NBC is somewhat speedy than other centers, especially VSC where my file suppose to be. I have a friend who filled at VSC, but after few days case was transferred to NBC and it is approved in 70 days.

Your case was sent to NBC, but if it were still there it would be approved already. You've likely been sent onto a field office, something you wouldn't be notified of.

Your case was sent to NBC, but if it were still there it would be approved already. You've likely been sent onto a field office, something you wouldn't be notified of.

The USC can call and inquire and hopefully get a straight forward correct answer.

TBH it doesn't really matter unless it's been sent to Atlanta. I have no idea if mine went to Denver or not, but it was approved exactly 4 months to the priority date. :D
