Does he have his passport? If so see if you can get him on your flight. Call the airlines.

Not going to happen if you were just approved yesterday. I doubt it is even ready by Tuesday. The shortest time I have seen in the DR is at least 4 business days.

It is extremely unlikely your spouse will get the visa in time to join you for a Monday departure. There is paperwork that needs to be done along with the physical processing of the visa before it can be delivered to your spouse. If it was only approved on Friday, that leaves the rest of Friday and part of Monday in order to get the whole thing processed. Unless you have already made arrangements with the Consulate for this to happen, it is virtually impossible that the visa will be ready in time.

You can certainly contact the Consulate and get an estimate of when he can expect the visa but from what I read, he would be reasonable to allow for a at least a week for it to arrive. If you have the option of changing your flight date, then you may want to check into this and you can re-book then, otherwise, you need to be prepared for him to travel on his own at a later date.

Yes I did but from people that can not rude ones im just a little stressed out I appologies please just some helpful answers thanks

Alemile, if we could tell you how to do what you want, believe me, we would. There just doesn't seem to be a way to do it for Monday, sorry. You haven't mentioned whether there's some emergency, or whether you've already booked the flight, for instance. That might be helpful information.

Is there anyway you can rebook your flight so you guys CAN leave together? Most airlines will let you if you pay the new price over and above the old one plus a rebooking fee (expedia charges $150 for example.)

the bottomline is his visa may not be ready by monday. if by some stroke of miracle it is, then he can fly out anytime he wants.

once you have your passport with visa on hand, you decide when you want to go.

Congrats!!!

Realistically, it's very unlikely that your husband will receive his visa by Monday. Especially if you were just approved in Monday. Even if you scheduled with Domex, to pick it up, it won't be ready that fast. Additionally, nothing's being processed over the weekend. Typically, people receive their visas from 5 days - 14 days.

The Embassy recommends, that no one makes travel plans until the visa is in hand, because you won't get an exact date when you will receive it.

You made a mistake, but mistakes happen. It's not the end of world.

You only have 2 or 3 options:

1: Change all travel plans until he gets the visa in hand. But like you said, its expensive.

2: Go back to the States on Monday. Wait for him to get it and travel back to see him and travel back to the States together. Expensive and unnecessary in my opinion.

3. Go back home on Monday and allow him to travel alone to the States and meet him at the airport. This is the most common step. Many of us have let our love ones travel to the states alone. It's very common. I know you may have anxiety about them flying alone, but they should be ok.

I wish you the best.

 Also if you cancel the flight you can use that credit at a later date to travel but you will need to do that before the departure time. Best of luck too you!
