Hi,just sent in my 129f this week, Im just posting this topic to see some of the answers and responds I may get. I been back since December 4th from Malaysia and I miss her soooooooooo much. I read and search the web VERY much and some of the things I read dont sound good.. Anyway, does anyone have any advice on how long will it take? I'm nervous about my package I sent in? Two months seems like forever. I miss her so much. We'll let the topic go from here. Thanks

we have been waiting for 4 months now and I am not really expecting anything before 6 months. This is only for an approval of the petition, and then another 1 or 2 months till I have the visa in my hands. This road is not an easy one, I am trying to stay as calm and patient as I can, but sometimes I feel like I'm gonna go crazy. Just arm yorself with lots of patience and try to keep busy. What service center is your petition at?

Depending on where you live(the petitioner), your application goes either to CSC or VSC.

California Service Center (CSC):

Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, or Wyoming

Vermont Service Center (VSC):

Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, U.S. Virgin Islands, West Virginia and the District of Columbia

10 months i would say would be a good average time till your fiance has the visa. My suggestion is, read some consulte reviews from people who attended the interview in Malaysia, so that you know what to expect at the interview time and what forms and documents your fiance will need.

Hope you get your NOA1 soon :)

The wait may seem long and painful, but remember you are not the only one going through it, everyone involved with this website understands. :)

As has been said, it's approximately 2/3 of a year for the whole K1 process to go through up to getting your Visa. Some people have got through sooner, some later, it's pretty much in the hands of the officials.

Just make sure you have studied the process and paperworks enough so you both know what to do and when, doing everything right 1st time and to the requirements is the best thing you can do to get through this wait as quickly as possible.

Don't you mean, 2/3 years to get the 10 years green card?

Cause it is between 8 months and a year to get the K1 visa (usually).

Good luck in your visa journey!

Sorry, I guess it wasn't that clear lol, but by 2/3 I meant Two Thirds of a year. Again, as said, it's usually the trend but can differ.

Plan on 8-10 months until she is here from when you sent the petition. Planning for anything sooner will likely result in disappointment and frustration
