My husband just received his texts and emails. When I heard his phone beep three times in a row, I knew exactly what it was. I promised myself I wouldn't be as obsessive over AOS as I was with the K-1 process, yet here I am.

Afoyoswa, my husband is taking ESL classes and has been tremendously helpful around the house, which I really appreciate. I see that as more valuable than a financial contribution at this point, but of course he sees it differently. I won't sweat it though...I'm sure he'll be working by April. :)

Trying not to, I am not at all detail oriented.

Btw, it seems I was not the only one who had a problem with the address - so for anyone else out there, the USPS will automatically change the last two numbers from 20 to 87, it is related to smth in their system.

Selavi, when did u submit your AOS package to chicago

We mailed my husband's AOS packet on Monday. USCIS received it yesterday (Tuesday). Now the waiting begins. I don't mind so much waiting for the GC...it's the EAD/AP card we (he especially) want quickly. Not being able to work has not been good for his morale.

Hope we all have a quick, smooth AOS journey with no RFE and no interview!

So I'm guessing It got mailed on Monday 2/4/13 and delivered on Tuesday 2/5/13. I also mailed mine on Monday and it was delivered on Tuesday, hopefully I get my NOA today...sooon!!!

Hey Joe, I used Express Mail. My best guess is we should get our NOAs tonight cos for some strange reasons everyone else is getting theirs at night which is cool by me as long as I get it.

So let's take the wait and see approach till tonight.

Yep, that's correct. We mailed it on Monday, 2/4 via USPS express mail to the Dearborn address in Chicago. It was delivered on 2/5 at 11:43am and signed by G. Collins. The three texts and emails came last night (2/7) after 10pm. The receipt numbers are in sequential order, but they don't specify which number is for which document. Guess we have to wait for the official hard copy for that information. The check is currently being processed by the bank; it should clear tonight (2/8).

In case this is helpful to anyone: We taped our name to the mailbox today to avoid any potential problems with delivery of USCIS documents in the future. The mail woman has been putting question marks on the mail lately because of my name change and because she didn't recognize my husband's name (he's only gotten two pieces of mail in the last three months). So I'd suggest doing that if you moved recently or if your spouse doesn't get a lot of mail.
