I mailed of my I129f on Friday express mail through USPS but accidently sent it to the priority mail po box! USPS says it was delivered on Sunday #######! USPS does not deliver mail on Sunday and uscis said none of their facilities are open on Sunday someone signed for it and now it is gone USPS is no help i been going around with them for over half a day and USCIS is the most incompetent bunch of ####### on the planet how in the hell can you have a facility that has no telephones???

USPS said contact uscis and after waiting on hold for over an hour i got a very rude agent who i think i will get fired to tell me in no uncertain terms that usps was who i needed to talk to not him and that i was wasting his time. I now know that my packet is lost including my money order and my pictures thanks USPS! copies.

don't worry it's just there, give them few more days. ours was mailed on august 27, the following day we got the notice via tracking services of the usps that it was delivered to dallas. few more days passed and no more updates if it was delivered to csc or not. we got worried. my fiance contacted someone from the post office and he was told they cannot find it. seemed like the world crashed before us. he further contacted the csc and also told it wasn't there. we waited for more days before filing up the I-129F again. but then on september 4, my fiance got the noa1 in via mail. and still waiting for the noa2...

goodluck!

You sent it to the wrong place so they are incompetent :wow: I very much doubt that it is lost, just takes a while for them to correct your incompetence  It will turn up in the next few days.

USCIS said they could not tell me anything all they said it will take 4 weeks to process what happen to 10 days and tell sir how can it be processed if it is in some other companies mail room. What was the address they say they delivered it to, and was it signed for on the Sunday? A PO box address can show as being delivered on a Sunday (it's considered as delivered once it gets scanned into the PO box at the sorting office) even if postmen don't deliver normal mail on that day.

Andy I read your timeline and you just sent it out 1/11/14. I understand all the scenerios on sending it to a different address etc. I suggest waiting for 7 days. At this time if no one can find it and you do not have NOA1 then start the process again slowly (I mean do not send it again for an additional week just to see if it shows up). After two weeks my guess is it lost unfortunately. Some advice as I know you're upset. Things seem to be flowing faster with most Visas. Regardless Patience will be critical in going through this process. And I am one of the most impatient people on this earth. It is a Journey. Getting worked up is not going to help. And I find in talking with anyone from USICS that if you show them kindness they will do their best for you up to their capabilities.

Just some advice from someone that waited 208 days for their NOA2. This is a Journey once again....

I wish you the best

The more I look on the USCIS site and on here the more discouraged I get. 250 days 300 days and so on to get approval it boggles the mind that it takes so long in this modern day...I could understand it if they actually have to do leg work to find out the background checks and things of that sort but all they do is sit behind their little desks in the little cubicals and type in names and addresses the computer does the rest so why so long I ask it is because our wonderful government puts limitations on how many they can process. The only thing that is keeping me from going insane is the love of my lady and the want of getting her here but it is hard I promised her she would be here for her birthday and the way it looks that is not going to happen.

Okay you need to calm down a bit.

First of all the process is slow. Youre not the only person applying for a visa. There are thousands of people in the immigration system.

As for where your petition went, lets see if we can figure this out.

There are two addresses you could have mailed it to- (im abridging them slightly)

regular

Pobox 660151

Dallas TX

express mail

or 2501 hwy 121

lewisville TX

So according to your post it seems like you sent it to dallas. What does USPS tell you? That it was delivered? It is possible to deliver express mail on sundays. ( http://pe.usps.com/businessmail101/classes/express.htm) If you paid an extra fee and check off no signature required, usps would leave your package at the pobox in dallas, on a sunday with no signature, so your package is there.

Also according to the guide - http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1flow for your NOA1 Typical wait time is 2-3 weeks after the Service Center receives the I-129.

Ok i will explain it as i tried to explain it to the very kind 2nd teir agent who told me i was wasti.g his time talked to how can it be processed if it never got to the right location it went to po 660046 not 660151 660054 is to process i182d files not i 129f so now what i have tried everytning short of fiying to dallas myself and finding it

Ok now where getting somewhere...

Did the teir 2 rep confirm the address it was delivered to (Po box 660046) is in fact a lockbox for processing i182d files ?

If so you have nothing to worry about, you can just expect an additional delay in processing. According to USCIS

"What happens when an application is sent to the wrong filing location?

The Lockbox facilities forward applications to the correct Lockbox facility."

However if your package was delivered to an address that is not a lockbox facility it would be returned to you, or if the application is not processed by a Lockbox facility, (which 129fs are so thats not the case) it is returned to you.

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=3314898ab9c8f210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=1a71898ab9c8f210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD

So again if the rep confirmed the box it went to was infact a locbox facility, it will be forwarded to the correct processing center. there will just be a delay.

If your package was addressed correctly and USPS messed up and delivered it to the wrong PO box and you have proof- go back to the post office you mailed it and raise hell. Get a refund of your purchase price at the very least.
