so basically, obama brought back the law to its original form, reversing the limits imposed mid-1990s.

big whoop.

exactly because it only affected presidents after 1997 so Bill C was exempt. Why in Hades would any one think it bad to provide security for Ex-presidents. If Iwere the Obama daughters or Bush daughters I would be scared to not have at least 1 SS man assigned.

Obama did it so naturally it's a big whoop. Whatever it is.

Never mind that Congress passed it. It not only originated in the Republican controlled House, a Republican - from South Carolina, no less - crafted the bill. Boehner could have just not brought it up for a vote - he know how to block legislation - and there would have been scrap for Obama to sign. But that's too much detail. Inconvenient for the RWNJs.

Of course, had Obama vetoed the bill, he would have been accused of trying to get W killed.
