selective reading ... read the entire paragraph (all two sentences).

with boarding schools and the finest tutors ... all the parents need is $$$$ and let someone else raise the kid.

I read the entire paragraph. And this new comment proves that my initial reaction to it was correct. In your world, money and opportunity produce a well rounded, successful child.

the reply was to immigrants seeking this dream. not naturals born citizens.

do try to keep up with the discussion .....

Try to consider the whole post that you responded to. To me, it suggested that people flocked to America to afford their offspring a better life. That hope and dream has carried on generation after generation and is a central part of what it usually thought of as "The American Dream". Surely both Bill and Hillary Clinton are descendents of immigrants, no?

Are we ever going to hear from the anti-Clinton crowd as to why he's a bad father? Or are you guys just assuming that because you think you know more about his personal life than you actually do?

I'm of the belief that having an affair doesn't make you a bad person, and it certainly doesn't make you a bad father. The two situations are completely separate and don't reflect on each other.

But hey, keep judging. I'm sure you've all had perfect relationships in the past, right? Of course.

One of the essentials of being a good parent is to display the values you teach your kids.

Perhaps though all the girlfriends, court cases and family humiliation he lived up to the standards he wanted to instill in his daughter?

As far as your opinion that- having an affair doesn't make you a bad person, at least in the moment it does, often times we realize our wrong doing and move on to be a better person but the very act of Adultery is betrayal of the highest vow we have in this culture.

Any time you do anything to damage your children, you are being a bad parent at least in the moment.

A parents no. one job is to protect kids not expose them to an unstable home or loss of respect for you.

What an absolute load of nonsense. An affair does not make someone a bad parent to their children, no matter how much you're trying to convince me it does.

What lesson do you think the daughter learns as Mom does the pool-guy in the other room?
