Today I got the good news. Finally the I130 for my wife and my daughter have been approved.

It had been almost one year after NOA1, filed in January 18th 2012, now I got the email stating that both petition have been approved today January 9th 2013. We could not be any happier. Now the next step of interview, more paperwork etc. starts.

03/12/16- Approval Letter Received in the Mail

03/??/16- 10 Year Greencard in Hand

Bascially, after 2 weeks, call into NVC, get a Human, ask for AOS FEE BILL and Invoice Identification Number.

When it's ready, they'll give it to you, and ask for email addresses on you and your spouse,

and WHEN the AOS FEE BILL shows up in yer email inbox - it's safe TO OPT IN.

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

congratulation, but why it took you this long really long was it any problem

When I filed in January 2012, I130, I was not a USC, I had my N400 processing at the same time. Later I needed change status to USC. That might have complicated the process a bit.

09/26/2012: Mailed I-130 from Nigeria( delayed by customs)
USCIS stage ( 66 days)
10/12/2012: NOA 1
12/17/2012: NOA 2 (case was transferred to NYC office 11/27/12)
NVC stage ( 20 days)
01/08/2013: Case # and IIN assigned ( file arrived NVC mail room 12/20/12)
01/09/2013: AOS invoiced and paid, DS-3032 emailed and mailed.
01/16/2013: IV invoiced &paid. AOS & IV mailed in one package(arrived 01/18).
01/28/2013: Case complete!!!
04/19/2013: Interview; APPROVED!!!!!
