There is a new online case status from the DOS. I dont know if it details out the status of the case in Consulates for IV/NIV, but perhaps may be a tool to ascertain where the application is at.

2013-04-16 CEAC STATUS: ISSUED (VISA APPROVED)
2013-04-18 Got the tracking number from 2GO courier -- visa has been forwarded & ready for delivery

I did try and it had two updates and said I'm ready for interview. I'm hoping its correct because that's what I'm waiting on.

So you used the immigrant visa or non immigrant visa? I tried both and put in my NVC number, but none of them worked...

Thus far I have seen - "Processing at NVC" or when handled by consulates as "Administrative Processing", "Issued".

Mine says ready for interview and I have been done with NVC since December.

mine says processing at nvc but my case had been completed ....so i think there must be some mistake in that..

us govt passed a new rule for illegal people is a good news for all.10 lac peple get their visa in this process mean fast progress movment to all category family preference.we are wish for us govt reduce the processing time all family category those are waiting for visa outside country.

Hello mr steve that rule for those candidate these are already styed in us.some peple mexico border crossing and some are other way enter in us illeglli.those counting are near abought 10-12 lac and all are apply for there adjucation of status.new rule for those illegle people.when 10 lac people application removed/less effected to all other category fast process.name of that rule 'unlawfully presense in us those people closly related to us citigen mean immidate reltive of us citigen.
