Gonna file right after my oath ceremony 17th of january :)

Have appointment at january 18 for passport application

AOS

Aug/21 2013: I-485 sent
Aug/28 2013: I-485 received at USCIS, Chicago
Waiting for NOA1....

K-1 Journey
Jan/19 2013 : I-129F sent
Jan/22 2013 : I-129F received at USCIS, Lewisville, TX
Jan/24 2013 : NOA1 received - California Service Center
Jan/29 2013 : A# changed
May/15 2013: NOA2 (approved in 111 days after NOA1)!!!
May/31 2013: Received at NVC....
June/3 2013: NVC case number
June/4 2013: Package 3
June/4 2013: Case left NVC...
June/6 2013: Package 3 sent and Medical exam done
June/7 2013: Case at Embassy...
June/17: INTERVIEW.. Approved!!
June/21 2013: Passport with visa arrived
June/27: POE: FLYING TO USA

biometrics = june 21

interview = august 2

Did you pay for it to be expedited? or just regular processing? We're seeing an average of 9-10 days for expedited.

USCIS:

01/03/2013 - I-130 Sent

01/08/2013 - NOA1

04/08/2013 - NOA2 (Approved)

Just regular.. Not going anywhere soon, so why pay the extra $60?.. Ordered the passport card as well..

Hello everyone, I just received this email:

We have finished processing your passport, and it has been mailed to you.

Your passport application locator number is 2*******.

You requested delivery by regular mail. Passport Agencies use Priority Mail. This means you should receive your passport on or about 01/19/2013.

Not bad at all, taking about 2 weeks expedited.

01/03/2013 - I-130 Sent

01/08/2013 - NOA1

04/08/2013 - NOA2 (Approved)

checked status of my passport application online.. says "final processing stages" and to expect passport on or before 20th jan.. applied 7th jan on routine service and did not expedite.. we'll see if it hold true..

got passport and passcard today on regular processing (wow, that was quick).. checked dept of state website, said still in final processing and to expect to recieve it on 20th jan.. yet another reason why i always advise here to never check on the status update.. for the most part they are wrong.. total wait time.. 9 DAYS!! sent app on 7th jan and both passbook and card came in today 16th jan.. whohoo didn't have to pay for expedite fee (seriously, why waste $60).. :thumbs:
