I think, since he's made some valid points on all of this, that he should be made a mod and allowed to control (solely) PR sub-forum.

He wants change - and IMO, the only way to facilitate the changes he wants is to become a MOD.

Seriously !

This is not some passing fancy, aye? We've 2 to 3 years worth of documented evidence of his complaints. It's time to give him the power to institute the change he's been asking for, aye?

But it's a lazy way out, designed to placate one poster, without addressing the underlying causation of their concern.

Dedicating a whole P&R sub-forum is akin to consigning the topics to an Internet graveyard. Part of LM's point is to try and foster a wider audience, not narrow it down to so far as to eliminate different opinions.

The topics that he posts belong in Off Topic or P&R, depending on the actual content and whether it has a specific political angle that they address. Anywhere else and they may as well be invisible.

I'm not saying to make a new sub-forum - apologies if that seemed the case. P&R is it's own sub-forum already - and it's THAT thing that I'm referring to.

He can't have a wider audience at the moment, because of the miscreants . With Mod Power, he can do something about them, and garner a wider audience of his own choosing (perhaps contacting his old buddies, asking them to return, letting them know he has control now and it's safe to share an opinion now) .
