Just to inform you all i am in America now with my fiancee we getting ready for the wedding on Saturday

i just wanted to say that i had a rough time getting here from Nigeria first everyone that saw my visa was for America took something from me at the immigration

i paid money at every check point in Nigeria although every thing i had was legal and genuine this was my first time flying out i just did not want to play smart so i just let them have it

then i arrived at Atlanta and Their immigration officers gave me a had time i even missed my flight i spent 3 hours waiting while they were looking me up

searched my bags

they took my email and password why was that?

dont worry i changed it later

well after 3 hours of waiting in a place they came gave me back my passport and let me go well it was a great experience

everyone is nice here and it felt realy good sleeping and waking up with my beautiful Angel

thanks to VJ members for all their help i will need more soon when we want to file for AOS and also i got a question when do i file for a work permit? can this be done before the wedding? or after? THANK YOU EVERYONE

12/19/2012 - Mailed I-129F via USPS Express
12/21/2012 - I-129F arrives in Lewisville, TX according to USPS tracking (delayed because it's the USPS)
12/21/2012 - NOA1 date of receipt
12/26/2012 - NOA1 received via text/email
12/27/2012 - Checked cashed by USCIS
12/31/2012 - Alien Number changed (NOA1 hardcopy in post, but was away for 2 weeks prior)

05/16/2013 - NOA2 received via text/email

05/20/2013 - NOA2 hardcopy received in post

05/28/2013 - NVC receives packet and assigns London case number

07/15/2013 - Sent all paperwork/medical complete

08/23/2013 - Receive Interview Date

09/19/2013 - Interview

BTW.... What airline did you end up using and was there a problem having a one way ticket ? I've also heard something about problems arise sometimes when the name on the credit card doesn't match the name on the ticket. I'm sorry, I'm just trying to learn as much as I can from your successful journey before you disappear into your life of bliss, haha

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

I used Delta and a one way ticket i did not have a problem also you need to go to the airport to pay for it with your credit card that way you wont have a problem one more thing trying getting him a flight to the State directly even if it means stopping in another state as long as it is from nigeria to america from there he can get another domestic flight to you thats what i did because if he had to get a connecting flight from another country it would make themgive him a realy hard time good luck

Congratulations and best of luck. Try to file for Adjustment of Status asap. This includes I485, I765 (Work Permit), and I131 for AP. $1,070. 2 weeks after you have arrived you need to go apply for your social security card, then you can apply for your drivers license. You should try to get these things done before your I94 expires. AOS comes after marriage.

06/10/2015-Went to info pass appt. Hubby got a 1yr. Extension stamp in his passport and biometrics done

08/12/2015-ROC Approved. Got letter in the mail.

08/29/2015-received new card in the mail.
