Interesting Conversation with NVC Rep!!!

A must read for NVC people waiting! My I 797 was dated 12-31-12, I called NVC this afternoon, and the your man on the phone from NVC was "super nice" as I gave him all the required information he needed, and he told me that "we got your petition today and here is your MNL number" and I asked him when I would get a hard copy (It is required for the medical at St. Luke's) and he said, "we do no gathering of information here, and petitions like this do NOT stay long here maybe a few days to a week, usually", I thought this was very encouraging news, and he told me "to check back each day to see if it has been sent to Manila" he also told me the "hard copy" would be e mailed also, and I could print if off and would have my "hard copy", again, this young man was "super" to me!!! Opinions are requested by fellow VJer's!

But they DO stay there sometimes. We were stuck there for nearly 8 weeks while they put our K1 into AP. And it's happened to quite a few people. Keep after them!

For K-1'ers, the NVC letter will work to get you admitted into St. Lukes for the medical, but St. Lukes does not require it. Instead, St. Lukes likes you to have your interview appointment confirmation printout.

I phoned NVC today also to get my case number. The lady was very nice. I too had an NOA2 date of Dec. 31 and she told me that my file had not left yet for the Vancouver Consulate as they just received it, but it should be headed out very shortly.
