Any Houston local office movement?

3 posts in this topic

Recommended Posts

Hello, folks. I've got one of those I-130s filed at MSC in mid-October and transferred to the local office as part of their push to get the local offices involved in processing. I found out my own case was transferred November 19, exactly one month after filing. I have heard nothing since.

If you have an I-130 case that went or is going through Houston for processing, would you please post your experiences in this thread?

Thanks!! B-) Speed

I initially filed a seperate I 130 out of Houston back in September and it was approved and sent to NVC back in November. You may have to wait one more week or so and see if you get anything in the mail(could been delayed with the holidays a day or two). I am not sure if the petition was sent to local houston office as i never saw anything from Houston but NVC communication..

Day 11/14 Mailed AOS Package

Day 11/16 AOS Package Accepted

Day 11/20 Received Text with receipt numbers

Day 11/21 Checks cashed

Day 11/26 -Letter for Biometrix - its on 12/20

Day 12/20/ went to do biometrics, turn away as wife has a cut on thumb - will try to walk in next week

Day 12/28 - bio metrics done ! - walked in San Diego as we were visiting my in laws.

That's a pretty fast approval! I also did not receive any correspondence when my packet was transferred, but then again my case number did not even show up in the status check on uscis.gov until three weeks after the transfer.

Maybe some forum members who are sure their forms went through the Houston local office could weigh in and give us more specific information. Thanks! :)
