Second AOS interview (Stokes?)

54 posts in this topic

Hello !

So after 'further review' of around one month we got letter for 2nd interview(after a month).

Reason for aptt: Interview regarding your pending I-485 application. ASK for: AOS Unit

Wondering what is the reason? We never expected this especially when we prepared so well and our long living together history.

Initial Interview went smooth.

We had very strong documentation, evidences of living together for over 1.5 years, Financial co-mingling documents for about same duration.

Wondering what we need to do now to prepare and how?

Please share your thoughts/experiences.

- Will this be stokes interview(separated?)?

- What could be the outcome of this interview?

- What would happen to EAD?

Please share your experiences who already went thru this.

Thank You !

Why did you get a further review letter to begin with?

Not sure.

Nothing was mentioned on it. Just letter checked for 'Further review' at the end of interview.

IO mentioned: you've more than sufficient evidences. I need to discuss with supervisor.

Nothing specific or bad happened at interview.

Some points that i can think of: i am younger than wife, we're from different countries.

@GreenTrain: everyone here who is going to AOS via marriage are from different countries....;) One is from US the other one is from abroad...unless you mean like as a background say your wife is a US citizen and lived here the States but her background is India....anyway, it was just cute as you wrote it! :) Well, I'm sorry to hear you've got a second interview date but keep the faith...could be that this IO put aside your stuff, and they just now don't know what was the outcome of that application so someone else (maybe the supervisor) picked it up and decided to call you guys in again so at least they can close the case. Good luck!!! I honestly wish you the best!

I am currently waiting for a second interview since May 30, 2012. I had been married before which is why We are being called back, I'm sure of this. I saw you already got your 2nd interview, I hope we are lucky and get one soon. Another filer from Oakland Park will be waiting a year next month for his 2nd interview. I know it sucks to get a second interview but at least they didn't leave you hanging for so long

Where is your local office?

I hope whatever you said that's true

You're the :star: of the forum !

@greenie80: I know how you might be feeling now. But as 'AnotherLostSoul' said it could be due to red tape or some other silly reason. Who says one can't marry twice or thrice.

Just keep faith. You'll be fine soon.

But its' going to be over 7 months since your first interview. Now its time to wake them up.

You can't pay the price for somebody's inefficiency.

Have you heard of 'Writ of Mandamus'?

No, they will just ask both of you to attend (which they usually do anyways).
