People who want to ban a certain type of gun thinking all will be well in the world if they do. Evil people will improvise.A few cans of gas poured in a few class rooms and lit would have caused as much death as a gun. Sad but true. Some people are pure evil.

Yet these types of scenarios very rarely play out, if ever. Wonder why? Because guns are easy!

I see we've come full circle and we're back to "anything but the guns".

You chose odd examples. One's from Japan, one's from 1984, one was a street racing accident, one was an elderly man who caused an accident.

Slightly different than seeing a crowd of people and using your car as a weapon on purpose and hitting them at full speed.

The first link, I think it says two people died. I guess using a car as a weapon isn't very effective if mass murder is what you want. Guns are the way to go there.

When was the last time, in this country, that a vehicle was used as a murder weapon that caused mass casualties on purpose? Not a car accident, but a deliberate act of violence. I'm genuinely curious.

What you desire is to take away my right to own a gun." them" is the law abiding american public.No confusion. The point is if someone wants to kill they will kill. Adam went to that school to kill.....period. A can of gas poured in a few classrooms would have produced the same results.

That is not my desire at all. I don't want to take the guns away from the responsible gun owners.

So if a can of gas would have produced the same results, why didn't he do that? Why didn't that kid in Aurora throw a can of gas into the crowded movie theater? Why do you think these people choose guns more than anything else?

The 1,336 lb (606 kg) urea nitrate–hydrogen gas enhanced device[1] was intended to knock the North Tower (Tower One) into the South Tower (Tower Two), bringing both towers down and killing thousands of people.[2][3] It failed to do so, but did kill six people and injured more than a thousand.[

A bit easier to run when a person enters a room with cans of gas than when they enter spraying multiple shots from semi-autotics and merely need to grab the next loaded gun when the first is emptied.

We've been talking about this here for weeks now, countless threads and I haven't seen anyone call for a complete gun ban. If they have, they are certainly in the minority. No one is calling for you to lose your right to own a gun. Unless ofcourse you're one of the mentally unstable who shouldn't have a gun in the first place.

If we're going to use casualty numbers as our metric of how problematic something is, then these mass shootings at schools and malls really aren't the big problem with guns in this country.

I wasn't using casualty numbers, I was using the frequency of the incidents, mostly.
