But potentially extraordinarily costly! The way the media makes a household name of the losers who become mass murderers helps recruit those who feel their only way to fame and glory is to shoot up a kindergarten and get a high body count! The firearms industry and the NRA function as enablers.

this isn't about guns, you might try another thread.

"If I was not an alcoholic, the shooting would never have happened," Jeremy Brown said in his affidavit. Brown, 34, is serving a 20- to 30-year sentence for a 2001 shooting that seriously injured a man.

Did he shoot and injure the victim with the cork of a champagne bottle?

With the 100+ recent anti gun threads in P&R why would you post that on here?

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

The primary idea is that here you have some criminals that want shed responsibility for the crimes they committed. And they want to cash in on that, too. So they're not just criminals, they're leeches, too. Isn't it odd, though, that the two that sue the booze makers don't think to sue the gun makers which enabled their crimes no less?

He may be right in a different sort of way in that, although we label them as losers, they themselves are seeking an angle to become winners, to turn their mis-fortune into real fortune! I had an ex like that.
