i'm planning on visiting moscow to go to her interview with her, and assuming we are approved, will be flying back to california with her.

she needs to enter through the foreigner line, of course, and i was wondering if the officer will let me enter through there with my fiancee? i guess it wouldn't be too bad a problem if they reject me since the citizen line is significantly shorter.

my fiancee doesn't speak english and i'm sure she will be questioned.

actually, going off that, would i even be allowed to help her answer any of those questions??

K-1 visa holders are different than IR-1/CR-1 visa holders as one is an immigrant visa and the other is not. I have heard that it depends on the POE. Ask someone who is directing traffic. You as the USC can go to either line. Not sure about the K-1 visa as they have to take the package and some POE grill the financee. At Denver my wife gave them the package and they stamped her passport and I-94 and that was it. It took longer to get the bags off the plane then to go thru immigration.

Good luck,

Dave

You can either go to the foreinger line (as my husband has done with me) or bring her to the USC line

You might be able to help her with the questions but I doubt you will be permitted into secondary inspection.

Have you called the CBP at the airport to ask?

good luck

what is this 'of course' stuff?

You two can stay together in the USCitizen line, no worries at all.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I came back with my wife (then fiance on a K-1 visa) through JFK.

We went to the visitors line because that's where the gentlemen directing the traffic told us to go after I had asked him (When we go to the Immigration Officer through the visitor's line, I asked him, if it would've been fine to go to US Citizens line and he said - OF COURSE)

I was allowed to help her answer all the questions as well as I was allowed to go with her to the secondary inspection area (where she handed off her other documents, got processed, etc).

It was all quite painless. Then again, JFK sees tons of immigrants come through every day/week/year...

Слава Україні!

there is no "alien" line. It is either USC line or non-USC line. You can ask at the airport which line she needs to go through. You cannot answer for her, if she needs a translator they will provide one.

SFO allows K1 and USC to go to either lines together. Don't know about other airports
