Ok, so we came in on a k-1. She has medi-cal for her pregnancy because it was an emergency situation. Her blood pressure skyrocketed and she started vaginally bleeding and we had our daughter 10 weeks early, apparently though in Cali, even illegals if pregnant can have medi-cal for pregnancies. Crazy. Needless to say, I was paying cash at a "low income" clinic before her emergency happened, no matter how much I saved, no way I could have afforded her $100k hospital bill. Also, before anybody complains, this is via the State and not federal government and on the income guideline sheet it states that emergencies are the exception. This was an emergency, she was going to die (and the baby too) if they didn't do the c-section). My daughter Liv will be in the hospital for 2 - 3 months.

Anyways, so we took advantage of it realizing that she will now need all the vaccinations. She got them all done (except for the chicken pox because she had them as a child).

The only vaccination we are missing is MMR. Our doctor told us not to do it, saying it could be risky due to breast feeding since it is a live virus, but the civil surgeon says he has to do it due to CDC guidelines or something like that....

So what do we do?

Also, since this is a K-1 visa, she only needs the vaccination supplement, not the whole I-693, right? What about this DS-3025 thing I've been hearing about. We don't have a copy of that. Is that needed?

Thanks!

David
