I am a naturalized US Citizen what should be my answer for 10 and 14b?

"Did you gain permanent resident status through marriage to a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident?"

I am not a permanent resident so it should be No but still want to hear your voice.

For Q: 10 Alien Registration number do i have to put down USCIS A# that is on my naturalized certificate?

Thanks,

But weren't you a LPR first? They want to know basically how you became one through marriage or what. Whatever you naturalized number is yes you use that.

Anybody who Naturalized was once an Alien, so has an alien number, even though not an alien now. Enter the A number where asked.

We don't have enough information to advise on Q14b. If he gained his permanent resident status through marriage to a US citizen he answers yes, even though he is NOW a citizen. Only if the LPR status was gained through some OTHER means would he answer NO.

These are just questions, folks. Answer them accurately. They want the A number to assist in bringing up the previous immigration files. Whether one took the path of marriage to a US Citizen on their way to citizenship is a valid consideration. Just answer the questions.

Thank you everyone. I read a lot of other forums and google search.

What i gather from their response is that Question 14 and 14b. are directed towards Permanent Residents and does not apply to USC.

But still a little confused, I am just trying to avoid any rfe.

Any thoughts? Anyone who is on the same boat and has any experience on this? yes, i got my LPR through marriage.

Not even going to read them. I suggest you go with my answer. I assure you, it works every time it's tried, no matter WHO thinks otherwise.
