Honestly i wouldn't advice you to go for a divorce, its not the best way to handle issues, life is not a bed of roses, the true essence of marriage is for better for worse, i don't understand why the world is turning marriages into short term affair. If there is anything going wrong in your marriage, i advise you to seek the face of the lord, there is nothing GOD cannot do. your husband brought you to America cos he loves you. the issue of internet porn and what have you is his weakness which you are expected to deal with. That is where u need to perform your role as a wife and the ways of achieving this is through counseling and constantly showering him with love. let him know you've got that which he seeks outside and yours is even better. try talk some sense into him and am sure he will surely change. it will be a plus that you changed him than you divorced him. I wish you all the best and hopefully this will assist in many ways.

Those are your values and they are good for you but the OP did not ask for this advise and only the OP knows what is best for her. I do not agree with you on the "if you love somebody enough he will change" because this is not true and he will only change when he is good and ready. Ever heard the saying "you can't teach an old dog new tricks"? The OP is asking about lawyers and not marriage counseling. And unless you are a LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) you should not be offering her that advise. We need to respect that she has a mind of her own and we are not walking in her shoes. I agree that God can do anything but who are we to determine God's will. Just include her in your prayers and let her do what is right for her.

Thanks a lot to everyone. I appreciate even those that offered "counseling" but unfortunately I'm in a helpless situation and I got tired of trying and waiting for him to change his behavior and addiction to gambling and other things. Its very difficult to deal with someone that NEVER accepts has a problem and keep doing it again and again. His behavior started affecting my health. I only thank God that we did not have kids. He was my reason to be in US and I just hope this divorce process will go as smooth as it can be.

God bless you all.
