Help with requesting a service request

Hi all,

Today marks my 200th day waiting on my noa2. After calling the uscis and getting through to a tier 2 officer, still I can't request for a service request outside normal processing time since VSC is "still" working on petitions from May 28th of this year. I tried getting my senator involved but they couldn't do anything about it and told me to wait another 30 days.....I tried keeping myself busy but I keep drifting back onto thinking about my petition. I'm just running low on my patience now and don't know what to do next or how the end result will be. To those of whom got a service request go through, how come you were able to get one? What is considered "outside" a normal processing time? Please help and thanks in advance.

A service request will produce little that will help you although you will feel somewhat better when you know that. I suggest you do as my husband did by setting an Info Pass appointment so you can sit down with USCIS face to face. They will check your case right there and tell you what the latest is. You will still find that you will have to wait but at least a real idea of where you are.

Even with an info pass appointment it isn't going to make USCIS adjudicate your petition any faster. If they are working on May 28 the only thing you can do is wait until i is your time. You can check here for processing times https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processingTimesDisplay.do;jsessionid=abcwjPb_k8bsZ_X7QWzVt If they get beyond the date of your NOA1 and you haven't been contacted then you can put in a service request

Find the Info Pass link on the USCIS web site. You will find the closest office to you and be able to make the appointment via the site.

I spoke with a tier 2 officer but it was pointless. She was quite in the "mode" where she didn't care but I kept my cool.

So I can put in a service request after December 28th of 2012 or January 6th of 2013. I thought you can request for a service request after the 6months mark which I am well past that. It'll be 7 months come the 28th of December according to their May 28th date. I'm pretty confused.
