I sent the DS-230 along with my civil documents (original & copies) to NVC on November 30, 2012 and DHL (Courier Service) gave confirmation that it was received by one G Peters on December 3, 2012.

Today (December 11, 2012) I called the NVC and the guy said they have not received any documents. When I told him that I have got the confirmation of it being received by the courier, he said not to worry they must have received it then but he cannot see it in the system. He also advised me to give them 20 days before checking the case status with them however I have seen here on people's timelines that many got their case completed within 10-14 days after sending the IV packet.

What could it mean? They have received it but not entered in their system and that is why the guy could not see the status?

Is it normal or should I be worried about all my original civil documents?

RFE: 08/13/2012 "Proof of Bona Fide marital relationship". (Took them 7 months, 1 week and 4 days to send an RFE).
RFE Responce received by CSC-USCIS on 09/07/2012.

NVC issued Case #, IIN and BIN: 10/10/2012
IV Package Received at NVC: 12/03/2012

EMBASSY STAGE:
interview March 20, 2013 : results AP (sent in paperwork for co-sponsor received 4-20-2013)

Issued: September 30, 2013

POE: Raleigh-Durham International Airport, NC @ 10-17-2013 (Easy entry, pleasant experience).

Removal of Conditions on Residence:

Filed: August 14, 2015 - VSC

NOA1: 08/19/2015

Date of Decision: 06-03-2013

Letter of Approval received: 06-09-2016

Green Card received: 07-15-2016

Naturlization N-400:

Filed: September 16, 2019

Biometrics: October 9, 2019

Interview: August 24, 2020

Approval: Approved and received Naturalization Certificate same day.

Same here... i sent AOS & IV package on December 1st and they received on December 3rd but they accepted AOS and said "we didn't receive your IV package yet" i hope they review it soon

I received an email from NVC today. They received the IV packet, reviewed it and sent RFE for original Birth Certificate. I did send the original but I don't know from which authority they want. If you have sent the one issued by City District Government Lahore Pakistan or whichever city then be prepared for RFE :(

I called and the operator lady said "maybe" they want one in Urdu. I told them that it was the original and they have marked it for a second review and now I have to wait another 10-20 days.

They have not accepted my Birth Certificate even after the review which means I will have to send in a new one.

Now, I know which one to send but obtaining it and sending it to the NvC will be quite costly and time consuming. It might waste another 30 days just for them to review it.

Is it possible that I ask them to mark the case incomplete (no birth certificate) as I will bring it with me in person at the time of interview, and still send it to the Embassy to schedule an interview? This will save me extra courier money and time of course.
