Hello,

First off, thank you for reading my post and thank you for any help that I may receive. My fiance is Filipino and I filed a fiance visa on my own and after about 6 months I finally got a I-797, Notice of Action which said the petition has been approved! Great! Problem is a few changes have occurred. I lost my job that I had at the time and am still trying to find a job with no luck. My fiance is no longer in Philippines and is in Singapore for work. What do you guys suggest I do? Is there the ability to co-sign for financial burden by a family member or other option? Or will I just have to wait till I have a job to prove I can support her? What about her working in Singapore? Will she need to return home to continue? I don't think she is technically working there legally right now anyway because she's only been there 3 weeks. Anyway, I thank you again for any response good or bad.

Thanks,

-Aaron

IF she was working there legally, she could interview in Singapore. Providing that one Embassy is willing to send the papers to the other.

IF she's illegal in Singapore, she should return to Philippines for her interview.

Unfortunately, Philippines is known to decline co-sponsors for K1 visas; which is what you would need, since you no longer have a job.

It's always at the CO's discretion, so why not get a hold of the USEM and present the situation to them? They will give you the answers you seek
