Hi everyone i was advised by one of my friend who worked at CSC that processing time will be slow fo the rest of the year for CSC while VSC will speed up to go back to 3 to 4 mmonths. Did anyone heard this before ? Any ideas?

I haven't heard anything, but I hope so. It would be nice if VSC would speed things up.

I hope not. We are under CSC and wanted to be with my fiance before Valentines! :)

Trust in the Lord with all your heart

and lean not on your own understanding;

in all your ways submit to Him,
and He will make your paths straight.

Times fluxuate. A lot depends on who is adjourning your case, would be my guess. We got ours in about 4-5 months or so. So the best advice is be patient and check the old snail mail/text messages a lot. :)

Our Visa Journey

Got engaged july 26th 2010.

here is what i see on http://www.visajourney.com/content/times

USCIS CSC-->I-129F Petition for Alien Fiance(e) K-1/K-2 - Not yet married - fiance and/or dependent child 5 Months

USCIS VSC-->I-129F Petition for Alien Fiance(e) K-1/K-2 - Not yet married - fiance and/or dependent child April 16, 2012

Which means that it will take approximately 5 months to get your visa if its sent to CSC; and that it would take around 7 months if its sent to VSC...

Can someone just verify that im correct?

I hope Vermont speeds up; it has been excruciating to watch CSC people who submitted after Vermont filers to get approved first, then also Vermont filers that were sent after August 15th were sent to local branches and also approved faster so those of us in the May, June, July Vermont files will have to wait the longest and it is by no rhyme or reason, just unlucky in location and timing.

It switches all the time. For a few months CSC will be going fast and VSC will be slow, then a few months later, VSC is fast and CSC is slow. When I applied for my K-1 in February, CSC was the slowpoke, but then it switched and it became the fast one. If you haven't seen this thread yet- http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/220499-k-1-petition-information/, I recommend it. It'll give you and idea of how the work flow goes.

i think the petitions filed after August 15, 2012 do not include K1 category. all the rest of other petitions were sent to local USCIS field offices for processing but the K1 petitions were not included.
