(Since my husband is not working at the moment, can I have another person as sponsor?. When should I file this? right after sending the I-130?

After you receive the NOA2, your case will be forwarded to the NVC for processing. You will then need to complete the forms necessary for processing at the NVC which includes proof of income, and co-sponsors info, etc.

It usually takes 5 months for your I-130 (NOA-2) to get approved at the USCIS.

You both have plenty of time to prepare for NVC.

OK. But my question is if the sponsor has to be my husband (US citizen) or could be another person like his brother (US citizen) as a solely sponsor. I understand that I can have two sponsors but can I have one different than my husband?

Your husband, even if he has no income, is primary sponsor and has to file the I-864.

A brother or someone else can co-sponsor.
