Hey all, great forum with lots of info.

I have my interview scheduled for late November 2012 and wanted my fiance and our son to join me.

Has anyone brought their fiance or children that are US citizens with them to the interview?

I saw in the packet 4 email that it is possible for a US citizen to accompany me to the interview however on the CSC site couldn't find any thing mentioned about it.

Thanks for your help.

I was wondering about this too! My husband is coming along with me and my daughter to Montreal to make a mini vacation out of it. We're wondering the same thing if he can come into the building and wait with me?

My American fiancé (now my husband) went to Montreal with me when we had our interview back in May this year. He wasnt asked for anything, and YES he came in the building with me and also helped me answering some question.

So it shouldnt be a problem. Take their American passport just in case. We weren't asked but we never know.

Good luck!

That's true, when we went into the consulate, the guard just asked me if I was the American in the couple, saw the cover of my passport which was in my hand, and let me in. I never would have attempted to go in without my passport on me though!
