Google is a very useful tool, you should try it. It took me less than a minute to find your answers. I just typed "Police clearance Oman" on the search bar.

hello everyone, had my interview yesterday..im not approved yet, their asking a police clearance from Oman since i work there for more than 6 mos.. anyone can please help me how to get a police clearance from Oman..

Contact the Oman Embassy in your country. Or to the appropriate agency in Oman. This requirement should have been known to your petitioner and you from the beginning....it's in the instructions for the 129f form.

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

Former residents of Oman may apply for a GCC by providing the following documents:

cover letter from the applicant requesting why he/she needs a GCC certificate, name of the employer/local sponsor who employed the applicant, and period of employment in Oman

original, completed application form; the consular section at U.S. Embassy Muscat will mail this form to the applicant, if requested via email (consularmuscat@state.gov)

letter from the U.S. Embassy or Consulate, where the immigrant visa case is being processed, stating the reason the certificate is required

no-objection letter from the employer/local sponsor in Oman

set of fingerprints, duly certified by the concerned authority in the country where the applicant resides

four passport-sized photographs taken on a blue background

copy of the applicant's passport with the Omani visa

processing fee, in cash, of Rial Omani 3.00 or USD 10.00

The 2 links I provided to you are official sources (oman.om and rop.gov.om).

I don't think the list of documents you just copied is for a police clearance, but for a "GCC" certificate. Looks like "GCC" means "Gulf Cooperation Council". I really doubt you're looking at the good thing here. What is exactly the link that the embassy gave you?

On the links I gave you, this looks pretty easy to do: a quick letter, 2 id pics, a copy of your passport, pay the fees... :)

I understand now. Yes, that's confusing, plus their required documents seems a little complicated to obtain !! Well, you should contact the US Embassy or the police department in Oman to find out. Look also for a member on VJ from Oman, that may help you too. :)
