Our NOA-2 got approved today but the process going forward is a bit confusing to me.

I understand that the case will go to the NVC next but there are no many steps to it.

Do I (as the petitioner) need to submit anything to NVC or do I need to keep calling them in a few days

to ask for a Case Number, etc and make sure they forward the case to the embassy? Do I need to pay a fee to the NVC directly or is this something that my fiance will do

prior to scheduling his interview in Bucharest, Romania?

I was planning on sending him (my fiance) a package (similar to what I sent to USCIS), including:

- Letters of intent (both of us)

- Pictures (dated w/description)

- Divorce Decree (mine)

- I-134 along with supporting evidence

- Chat/emails/passport stamps, travel receipts.

so that he can bring to the interview.

Thanks.

These info are off the Romania Embassy Info here on VJ:

Packet 3 from the U.S. Embassy in Bucharest contains the following items:

- a standard checklist, customized by the consular officers depending on which extra documents they want to see at the interview (generally documents that are not attached to the approved petition sent to Bucharest by NVC);

- requirements for the passport-sized photographs;

- a list of U.S. Embassy-accredited medical centers in Bucharest;

- one copy of the DS-230 Part I form (in English);

- two copies of DS-156 (in Romanian);

- one copy of DS-156k (in English);

DS-230 Part I must be completed, signed, dated, and returned to the Immigrant Visa Unit together with the signed and dated checklist, one passport photograph, and a copy of the fiance(e)'s passport (only the personal data page) so he/she can be scheduled for the interview. Forms DS-230 Part II (completed only up to item 35), DS-156 (in duplicate) and DS-156k will be signed and dated during the interview, in the presence of the consular officer.

- form DS-157 (for male applicants only);

- medical forms (the fiance(e) must take them to the medical exam so they can be filled in by the accredited doctor; Bucharest applicants should have 4 passport-sized photographs with them when they attend the medical).

Here's the link to that: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Romania&cty=Bucharest

Congrats and good luck!

Congrats!!!! We are in the same boat,we got our noa2 in 22/10/2012 ,I have no idea either what we have to do about NVC but i know that after the embassy will get the petition from NVC they will send to your fiance a package called "yellow package"(because of the color of envelop)where she will have the forms and a letter where they will tell her what she/he need to take for the interview...

You should start to send her/him what she will need for affidavit of support and all the other ...

CONGRATULATION again !!!!!!!! :dancing:
