Can anyone please give me some instructions on how to get SSN and what documents should I prepare for the application? :star: Welcome to the States. :star:

You can apply for your Social Security number a week or two after arrival. All you need to do is fill out the application and submit it in person to your local Social Security office. Don't forget to bring along your passport with your I-94 in it.

Here is the link you need.

click on 'display as posts'

then read.

Good Luck !
