So what? Expecting someone else to make all the money to pay for the things to be picked up is not rude? Men earn the money to pay for the family, women care for the home and the family, and in our case, she goes to school and collects degrees and certifications. But that is because the youngest is 17. There was no link to the study, but I smell correlation causation issues here.. A relationship where one partner does most the domestic duties generally means the other person has a good job to allow the other person not to work. It also means more time spent (and more focus placed) on the relationship, it could also mean the other person may feel trapped in the relationship because they are not working, etc etc.... Nothing is 100% just talking trends here..

Doesn't that closet stink? With all the sweaty, funky, skid marks on the undies clothes being in the dirty laundry, doesn't all that ferment in that small trapped room into something ghastly?

Clothes don't normally stay in the hamper. You have to wash them once in a while.

Well, I do the house work and the yard work. I love to mow the lawn, although our beast of a lawn mower gives me issues at times!

I don't work out of the home, so to me keeping a clean house, cooking for the family, making lunches for school and work, etc IS my job. I enjoy it.Most of the time anyways. It does do my head in though when I've cleaned something and hubby comes along right behind me and messes it up. I've also threatened to superglue the toilet seat DOWN. Nothing worse than falling into the damn thing in the middle of the night!

We have a big backyard, so when it comes time to cut the grass, I do the front yard so he doesn't have to do both.
