Hi,

I am adjusting from f-1 and my AOS is pending.

I'm want to know what will happen in the case your AOS is denied. There are no reg flags in my application, i just want to be prepared for the worst and of course i'm hoping for the best.

Can someone tell me how to add time line to my profile?

Thank you!

If your AOS is denied depending on the reason you may have an option to either re-open or re-consider appeal, you may be given a date in which you are to leave the U.S if you are already out of status. Someone else may have more detail for you on the subject. To add your timeline you go to settings(inder you name), then click on profile, then Change Signature and you type it in

I got an RFE after my marriage based interview in August. The RFE came 7 days after the interview requesting more evidence of my birth certificate since i was born at home so i did not have official birth certificate hence only affidavit. I have replied to the RFE two weeks ago and it was deliverer two weeks ago. How long will it take them to make decision and any one with similar experience? please your suggestion will be appreciated.

Hi thanks for reply.

My knowledge is so limited on this whole AOS application thing. I am just trying to figure out everything on on my own. Hope people who are more experienced will answer to your question. GL

Worse of being denied is if your AoS petition is being approved, but the moment you are about to take the letter with your Green Card out of your mailbox, and extraterrestrial space ship abducts you and you won't have a chance to live in the United States 'cause when you open your eyes, you see a green man sticking a huge needle into your eyeball.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

In the OP's case yes, but the VWP program's danger is there is NO appeal. Thankfully the OP is not in this situation but people reading should be aware that different visas/programs have different rules and you should make sure you look at advice specific to your visa/program to get the most accurate advice.

An eye probe might be better than another type of extraterrestrial probe. whistling.gif
