Hi everybody,,

My fiancee lives in the state of Oregon and I live in Saudi Arabia and we have sent I129-F petition at the beginning of September of this year and I've put the service center in California because California is the closest state to Oregon (as I thought) but, is it true that the petition from Oregon sent to service center California or to the another center? How can you know your center?

After you've sent the I-129F application to the right lock box (Dallas, TX for USPS or Lewisville, TX for Express Mail and courier deliveries), they'll forward it to the appropriate Service Center. Once they've received it, the petitioner will get a I-797c letter in mail. With that letter, you'll see Received Date (which is the Priority Date) and Receipt Number, either it will start with WACxxxxxxxxx (California Service Center) or EACxxxxxxxx (Vermont Service Center).

Good luck! :)

Welcome to the forum.

After you properly mail your I-129F petition/evidence/documents to the Lewisville TX lockbox location, it will be sorted and will likely be sent to the California Service Center. That is where ours ended up. You find out from the I-797c receipt number prefix, as previously described.

Good luck on your visa journey.
