Hello everyone,

I've been following this forum for a few months but it's my first time posting. I had a question. What's going on with the Vermont Center? I used to hear that it's the fastest processing center and got really excited when my papers were processed there. Now looking at the chart it says next to the processing time Feb. 27, 2012. Does that mean they haven't processed any since that date or that they are now working on the papers that they received around that date? They received my papers mid May so it's now been about four months. I was hoping I'd be hearing from them soon but after seeing that chart last night I got very disappointed :( I am just wondering if anyone here is in the same boat. If you've forwarded your papers to Vermont around the same time and if you heard back from them yet? This waiting period is killing me :( Thanks to anyone for replying.

We were the same, we thought VCS were quick and had heard good things. We knew the average on the USCIS site was 5 months and we thought it might be early, little did we know. VCS is in general a 6-7 month wait from NOA1 to NOA2 - yes there are exceptions that are shorter and there are ones that are longer. CSC seems to be quicker, but I think they've slowed a little. The NOA1 to NOA2 wait is the hardest, but the feeling on getting NOA2 is amazing :)

I'm right with Islandgal. I've had my congresswoman inquire twice and both times they were lied to and told they were only processing February 27th. Clearly late March and even a couple April have been approved. I was lucky enough to get a girl (it must have been her first day there) to offer a service request. That was on Sept. 12, and I only hear crickets. Monday will be day 200. VSC is horrible.

Hello there.

Did you try calling to see what's going on?? Feb. 1st is a long time :(

Yes, as much as I can get my fiance to call, he does and the output is not much really.

We're currently pursuing the congressman's reply, to see if that generates anything.

We filed 2 service requests since our application topped the time limit.

First service request said to wait for 120 days then if we don't hear anything, to inquire back.

The second one ,which we just received the reply of this week, said to wait 60 days.

Somehow it feels like it might be around the corner, for I haven't heard of anyone waiting longer than

we did. Look below on my time ticker... Oh boy. :wow:

From NOA1 to interview, our K-1 journey took 317 days to complete.

You can view our timeline & embassy review on this link here.

AOS, here we come.

:)

I feel like it should be close for you. :) Hang in there. You are well past processing times and they should be giving you a speedy service request. (One can hope anyway). Good luck. Keep us posted.

I just five short days ahead of you so I feel your pain :( and what the heck?!?! 120 days? That's longer than the whole process SHOULD take to begin with really. I hope you get it soon. There's still a few hours left today. Fingers crossed!

That scares me. We have 30 days before ours times out and I'm really afraid it will. Even thought USCIS told our Congressman we would have our NOA2 within 30 days, which today marks the 30th day.

We also had our congressman's office involved. They were told that our file was with an officer as of August 7th, and to please allow 30 days for him to review. Well that 30 days came and went with nothing. Our 60 days from RFE response was up on Sept 16th, and that came and went with nothing as well. So my fiance called on the 20th of Sept to file a service request. And we finally got approval on Sept 25th. Exactly 8 months to the day that we sent in the petition.

Vermont is super super slow... they need some more manpower there. :(

Im so annoyed with this slow progression at VSC.

I mean soon CSC will be at 0 months approving time, as it looks now?!

I believe most people are counting on a 5 month approving time, but now CSC has like 3 months!

When will they start transferring cases?

arghhh :dead:
