Florida's lengthy presidential ballot includes Roseanne Barr

Voters may spend a bit more time in the voting booth this fall, because Florida has the nation's second-longest presidential ballot.

The ballot doesn't just include President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney.

There will be 12 candidates in all, including Libertarian Party nominee Gary Johnson and Green Party nominee Jill Stein.

One name in particular might be well-known to voters: The Peace and Freedom Party's nominee, Roseanne Barr.

Yes, that Roseanne Barr, the comedian best known as the star of her eponymous 1990s sitcom.

The candidates are all on the ballot due in no small part to a 1998 law that makes it easier for minor party candidates to qualify in Florida.

Only Colorado has more, with 17 candidates appearing on that state's presidential ballot. Many states will only have two candidates.

However, the major parties have a problem with this, as they are concerned the minor party candidates will siphon votes away from Obama and Romney.

Many point to the 2000 presidential election, when Ralph Nader was on the ballot as the Green Party candidate. Many Democrats complain to this day that he cost Al Gore the election.

Baiting post has been removed. You can certainly find better ways to express your point of view, so please make the effort to do so.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
