K1 Jamaica - DHL Pick up vs Delivery

My experience with "deliveries" in Jamaica is that its a ####### shoot (lol). Given the fact that there are mostly just post offices and not physical addresses it seems trusting the system to deliver is no very dependable. My fiance lives in the country.

So we will probably choose the pickup option - are there other pickup locations besides Mobay and Kingston? It is a long expensive ride to either location.

thanks for any information on similar experiences.

Bless

Sweetness

PS - I may post a lot in the coming weeks - our interview is in just 23 short days.

ONE LOVE

For certain areas pick up at the nearest DHL office is the only practical option. I'm in Portmore so I opted for home delivery, so hopefully I'll get it delivered to my house soon.

Wow didnt know they delivery visas to your home...they never asked him that. Did you have to ask the embassy if they did that or did they ask you?

Lol ricky it can take up to two weeks be patient!

i know it can but its not gonna hurt if i know the status. as it relates to the DHL question, they ask you @ DHL what you want, home delivery or pick up. Pick up is faster still depending on when you go get it.

I guess they do home deliveries to mainly areas in the cities or close to one. The DHL yellow slip is the first thing you're given at the front desk of the embassy. You then choose where you want to have it delivered to by writing the address along with your name and contact number on the back. I would assume that if the address that you put on the back, if it's out of their range, they will tell you to choose a DHL closest you for pick up when you go at DHL window to pay.
