You don't need to wear pants because the interviewer only sees you from the waist up.

Ben you win the #1 Worrier trophy. You started a bunch of threads worrying about when you'd interview. Now you got that, so you moved on to another worry.

Yes everybody frets over when the interview letter will come. I think it's because you're soooooooo close. But isn't there some lore over in the CR1 forum that NVC assigns interviews during the 3rd week of each month? And lo and behold, all of your interviews are flooding in this week.

Edit: You were probably just fretting that you might miss Thanksgiving and all that lovely turkey and dressing.

I present this excerpt from my consulate review to give you an idea of what others wore on the day:

We were absolutely fascinated by the group of about 6 "businessmen" in extremely dodgy suits that were last in style around 1979 (and I'm being generous that they were EVER in style) and truly horrific shoes. They provided us with the opportunity for a lot of speculation as to how six men of various ages could all have similarly bad taste, and this made the time pass quickly!
We amused ourselves people-watching and trying to avoid the sight of a young and plump woman who was wearing a multi-stranded thong VERY high, and kept bending over, thus exposing all these...straps and flesh. Yum.
