No. You can leave them at Gould Pharmacy. If you are coming from Bond Street tube station, you will turn left out of there and keep going until you reach North Audley Street. Goulds is on your right down there very close to the Embassy. It is £3 for a small storage bag. We fit two phones and a camera in it and plenty more would have fit.

05-13-2014: NOA1 (was not postmarked until 5/22/14 and received on 5/24/14)

Although I have not yet been in the Embassy for immigration purposes, I have been in there accompanying my USC husband so I know they are very strict about the electronics thing. Note that it is not just the obvious things such as phones, computers etc that are forbidden but also things like car keys with the automatic opening button.

Married a US/UK dual national in 1996 and had four children together.
Immigration Timeline: I130 Approval November 2012; Interview July 2013; Immigration October 2013. (Note, however, that we chose to stall the process for personal scheduling reasons)
As a family of six, we relocated from Argyll in Scotland to Pennsylvania in October 2013. 

I applied for Citizenship in October 2017 and am currently waiting for an Interview date.

There is a sheet of paper on the desks in Goulds that shows everything that you cant take into the embassy so you can sort it all out in there.

I left my ipod in the room but forgot about the ear buds. They made me throw them out or we would have had to go to the back of the line and start over if I left to store them. They are not electronic but they are banned. Just an FYI.
