As to 'why' they visited you, we won't know until you list the questions they asked.

Also, give us a little background on your wife and your relationship.

Other than that, all we can tell you is, yes, they can visit you. That occurs when the US believes you're being deceitful. In other words, they have doubts about your relationship.

How was your interview? When was it? What did they ask at the interview?

Don't ever do anything you're not willing to explain the paramedics.

Are you on AP or still waiting for your initial approval? I'm on my phone so can't see your details. I hope it hurries up for you!

Right before my husband's interview with the embassy in Cairo there were a couple of men who came out to his village on the west bank of Luxor and paid a visit to his family asking questions about our relationship. They specifically talked to his brother and also his mother. They also visited his office and talked to clients there asking questions about us. Perhaps they are getting ready to make a decision about your visa.

If they talked to you, tell us some of the questions that they asked you or who did they talk to.

Good luck with your journey!

I wish CASA would visit me WE would have a lot to talk about. I am bored waiting. OP it seems like at least you are being considered

Hey at least you know it won't be the garbage men who will visit you as I have not seen any garbage ever being picked up in Morocco. Especially in the large dumpsters, yikes. They are overflowing and people just keep throwing their garbage there. I lived there over a year and I would put my garbage in bags and leave them on the side of the street and make sure it was picked up weekly or else they would just drive by as if they didn't see it. :bonk: :bonk:

Shortly after Wael's visa interview, he also had a home visit in Alexandria. He did not wish to speak to Wael, only to his family. The only

person home was his dad and an uncle that had come for a visit. Asked if we had a wedding party, how did they feel about

me being Catholic and how well did I interact with the family. The interview took less than 10 mins. He then went to one of the

little shops and asked the owner if he had met me which he told him yes.

During our visa process, it wasn't uncommon for the embassy to have home visits. Some of the people here that were going

through the process at or about the same time as we were had home visits. I don't know if other countries have them, but, it

isn't uncommon for Egypt. If I remember correctly, his visa was issued about a month or so later.

Best wishes!

Again I was half kidding, half inviting CASA...I would definitely welcome a chance to have a visit. My family here would smile tell them how happy there son/brother is now that he is married and settled. Even if she is a crazy from America.

By the posts here it does look like Epypt continues the home visits and again OP Ahmed1966... feel blessed.

I hope you answered well and honest to them.

:ot:

R and J you speak of garbage, yes to be civil with my opinions on how it is handled here.. I will say it is better than when it is burned. The other day a property close to us must have left plastics in the pile...it was sooooo toxic. My SO was laughing at me when discussing it with him.... there is no controlling agency to call when there are violations like this.

He just shut the windows.

Another garbage story is.. I brought the hefty pull string bags with me (yes scented) and used them to throw away our... "items". The next day my items were all out and the bag was taken. Someone liked my choice in bags.
