Hi everyone,

Ok, I sent our I129F packet off last Wednesday via Royal Mail/USPS. It was supposed to be track and trace so it would show when it had been delivered, but for some reason the reference number the post office gave me isn't recognised by their system.

I did also include a G1145 and we haven't had a text/email from that yet.

I will be calling the Royal Mail tomorrow to see if I can locate the packet but I am just wondering if USCIS actually do email you to say the packet has been received.

Has anybody received a text/email from the G1145? How long after the packet was sent did you get it?

:)

I sent my packet on Thursday, June 21 received a confirmation from USPS on June 25th that it was received then I received a text and email on June 27th at about 6pm. And when I checked my bank I saw my check was cashed. My NOA1 arrived in the mail exactly a week later.

Good luck

Hi everyone,

Just to give an update - we never received a text or email as per our G1145. We just received the hard copy NOA1 in the mail saying our packet was received on 17th September and actioned on the 19th.

Oh well!

Counting my blessings that it got there and now playing the waiting game :)

Fingers crossed for plain sailing for us all!

I agree. It doesn't always work. I had also signed up for the Case Updates on the USCIS website, but neither me nor my fiancé ever received any text message or e-mail from them - neither when they received our case, nor when we got our NOA2.

Unfortunately you have to keep on top of this yourself and try and not get too frustrated, I have and still have my issues with the process or lack their of.
