gowon - take your own advice.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll get right on it Kommander.

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing"

PS: As a side note: I'm still always alarmed with those who think Embassies in low fraud countries think it's the same operating principles in high fraud countries. At least OP admited to an obstacle.

Sorry, it didn't let me continue...

There are other traits to be taken into consideration such as:

religious differences?

finances?

educational level?

if the beneficiary has family or friends in the US?

if the petitioner transfers money constantly to the beneficiary?

and other common characteristics that may come into play. In fact, there's a petitioner from Egypt who went through all the process only to be a victim not only of fraud, but of domestic violence within 2 months of his arrival in the US. While putting her case together, she found out about the 20something y/o ladies he was already lining up.

This is NOT an isolated case. Unfortunately, it's more common than we think.

Don't ever do anything you're not willing to explain the paramedics.

I do not mean to be intrusive but, is your 23 year old a female? If yes, be very ready for the CO to ask your fiance: how come you'll marry a lady who has a daughter your age? Rehearse, rehearse and rehearse.

Good luck

No my son is 23 and living off on his own, my daughters are 16 , 14 and 9.

You should really post in the MENA forum. They will be able to give you the best advice on what to expect.

Good luck.

Well, you didn't have to answer the questions in this forum. They were just a guide for everyone to know what CO's look at. Having family in the US is a red flag, no matter where the family is. The CO may think they're all conspiring to get him there and, of course, it means he has where to flee.

So, you do have a 16 y/o daughter. That may come into play at his interview. The CO may ask your fiance: So you'll marry a lady who has a son your age?

Look, I'm sorry if I sound harsh, but again- I would be doing a diservice if I don't let you know what he may encounter. Is good you have the same religions and you haven't being engaging in financial transactions.

Don't ever do anything you're not willing to explain the paramedics.
