Hello All, I'm Kelly(male) and my girlfriend is Noi(Thai). I leave for Thailand Thursday for our first meeting. I will be staying at her house for the 2 weeks I am there. We were going to stay at a hotel but decided her house would be a much more "real" situation for us to get to know each other. For 6 months our phone calls have avereged 40 minutes a day, every day, except for the 2 days her phone was broken. Here is my dilema: Noi is having BIG problems with her 15 year old daughter. Her daughter basically doesn't want to live by the "house rules" and has run away twice in the last 6 weeks. Assuming everything goes great with Noi and me on my trip, we will get engaged and apply for K1 visa when I return to the USA. The problems with her daughter have put us in "real life" relationship issues which, I think, have brought us closer together. My question is, do I mention this in our petition? I am not looking for advice on how to handle her daughter, Noi and I agree on that. Good to meet all of you and thanks for your help.

Make sure that if you get engaged that you take pictures of you all together with diffrent clothing and locations. Save your boarding passes, hotel bills, and other receipts that prove that you were over there. This will be evidence that you will submit when you apply for the I-129.

Also you can download the G-325 form for your potential fiance and have her sign it while you are there so that when you come back to the States you won't have to have her mail it. Also have her sign a letter of intent to marry you that you will need to submit with your I-129. All this will save you lots of time when you submit your I-129.

On your relationship side that is a difficult thing for us to decide. You will have to make the decision if you are willing to handle this challenge.

No, irrelevant to the I-129F.

As Kennard mentioned, make sure you document your trip well. Save everything that he mentioned. Tip: If you go out to eat, take a picture of you two at the restaurant, save the receipt. This gives you a beautiful piece of evidence. A photo of you 2 together with a receipt to support the date and time.

Her daughter will be added onto the file as "child" of the beneficiary.

But that in no way is stating whether or not the daughter will immigrate also.

The situation about the daughters behavior is not relevant to the petition or application.

No reason to mention the daughters behavior.
