One thing I didn't add about our interview. The filipino interviewer requested my fiancee's baptismal. I did not know this was a requiremnet but we had it along. The problem was it was her original but had to give it up. I asked politely for it back and they said they couldn't at that time. So were hoping it comes back at some point as she said she can't get another one(original)..

Point is, I guess be ready for them to ask for anything and try and have copies and originals...

22 June 2012 : NOA2 (e-mail & Text)

16 July 2012: Manila Case Number(by phone)

17 July 2012: Interview paid at BPI

19 July 2012: Set interview for Mid-Aug

23-24 July 2012: Medical St. Lukes(passed)

24 July 2012: CFO Seminar(had to go next morning for landline #)- PASSED

02 Aug 2012: Received e-mail from USEM our case is there.

15 Aug 2012: Interview at USEM - APPROVED

13 SEP 2012: POE Minneapolis, MN

27 OCT 2012: Married

19 NOV 2012: AOS package sent

05 DEC 2012: NOA's I-765, I-131, I-485

14 DEC 2012: Biometrics appointment finished(Walk-in..Was scheduled Jan 04 2013)

02 FEB 2013: I-131 and I-765 Approved

07 FEB 2013: USPS Picked up the combo-card

11 FEB 2013: Received Combo-card

21 FEB 2013: Transit Visa picked up in Chicago for Japan

What does baptismal certificate has to do with anything? This is just abuse of those in power.

Sept 10, 2012- called USEM and VISA WAS ISSUED

Sept 14, 2012- CFO seminar done(SMEF-COW)

SEPT 22, 2012- HAPPY FOREVER AFTER

Excellent point, that makes sense now. It was Late Registered. Thanks for that info. And yes it was the original they received because that's all that we had.

What does baptismal certificate has to do with anything? This is just abuse of those in power.

Exactly....so what if the fiance or spouse has never been baptized. I had no idea religion had anything to do with immigration...this is unconstitutional and has no bearing on immigration.

The baptismal certificate is a record that shows the fiance's name, her mother and fathers name, and the area or province in which she was born, also it is certified to be a true and correct copy by an official at the church. It is a legitimate record to request for identification by the government as our own government asks for two or more forms of identification, one of those forms of identification that is accepted is a baptismal certificate from your church that has been certified true and correct by your church. If you don;t believe me, try losing your social security card and getting another one with just your drivers license. A family bible showing the names of people that have been born to parents for several generations is also a acceptable means of identification at some government offices.

7/3/12 Touched

7/3/12 text and email received for NOA2 approval

7/9/12 Received NOA2 hard copy in the mail

7/16/12 Called and received NVC Case Number

7/18/12 Called NVC and was told my case was in "additional processing"

7/27/12 Called NVC and was told my case is in "administrative processing"

You can always obtain a certificate of Baptismal to where the individual was baptized,..

Really? so your fiance is late registered? They didn't ask for our baptismal certificate yesterday.. I actually have it with me too but they didn't ask me for it.. Glad your fiance is prepared.. :)

No my fiance was not late registered, but was baptised in the Catholic faith and the catholic church keeps records....lol. She can go back any time to the parish where she was baptised and get another copy of her baptismal record.

I did ask the CO after he questioned me, I told him it was the original and can we get that back. He is the one that said not at this time, its part of the package or something like that. I wasn't going to argue, we will go to the church and pay some extra peso's for a new one.. But I too did not have a clue they would be asking this. Good thing my fiancee brought everything!
