Your experience is definitely welcome but it sounds like the officer had sustained quite a few injuries from his accident and at this point its second guessing to assume he could defend himself.

Very true. I don't know the state of mind of the officer during the attack, nor his training background. My initial point was that IMHO there were options other than deadly force for a trained person. Obviously the still had enough mobility to draw and fire, so it is possible he could have done one of the things I've described.

Most people being attacked, like he was, do one of two things: They curl up in a ball and take the beating, or they try to get away. It is human instinct, unfortunately, in his described situation, both are wrong. He can't escape and a beat down in his condition could be fatal.(broken bones becoming lodged in vital organs or cutting arteries) He needed to get closer, which to many people will seem counter-intuitive. Until someone goes through the proper training, they have no idea what I'm talking about. Once they do they'll know I'm quite right. By closing the distance you offset some of the opponents advantage.........in this case being free standing and mobile. All of a sudden they find themselves with a well trained, highly armed, and extremely aggressive foe upsetting their balance and negating their attack.....then blowing off a kneecap/foot or slicing them up like a Christmas turkey.

You are not being realistic with this situation. I don't care how good you are,

You are kidding yourself if you think a trained agent couldn't do exactly as I've stated. It is not movie make believe. These people train more than Olympic athletes. They are not some group of fat "bodyguards". They are highly trained professionals. By the way, never ever call one of them a bodyguard unless you enjoy severe pain.

Where were all you hypocrites when George Zimmerman defended himself against an angry attacker that was on top of him beating him?

I wonder if this "expert" will testify in the Zimmerman case.

So when George Zimmerman did exactly that, he was wrong?

Why?

Even in Florida?

Are you talking about the angry dad who'd just been told to take it easy by the man who killed his precious daughter or are you talking about cute and cuddly little Trayvon?

So, let me get this straight.... the right to self defense applies to off duty cops in Chicago but not civilians in Florida?

Zimmerman did NOT do "exactly that"!!

No precious daughters were killed! Can you read?

Apparently English eludes you. Any of the agents can deal with the situation whether they have a gun on them or not....they do not NEED one. It is called hand to hand combat.......google it. That being said, they always DO have firearms on them, and the s at the end of firearm means more than one....we call that "plural" in English. Feel free to google that if you get too confused again. They also carry several knives, pepper spray, and whatever else they feel like toting. They can use any weapon equally well with either hand. It is called training. Quite a few carry a walking stick wherever they go, including on an airplane as they are not banned from the cabin. A quick google search should reveal to you why.....hint: try searching Philippine stick fighting. Instead of google, try youtube since I've gotten the idea pictures will suit you best.

So your secret agents that don't need to use deadly force or need weapons, carry multiple firearms several knives, pepper spray, and are all ambidextrous, and they all carry fighting sticks onto Airplanes. Do they stop in midair for the slow motion ninja kick also ?

Hand to hand combat ? Is that like hand to gland... Ever been to Yankee road. Know what the Worm pit is ?

Middleton’s daughter suffered contusions and abrasions and was hospitalized overnight for observation.

Did she die? I thought only the father died but I keep seeing people mention the daughter died. It's a sad situation.

Also, if he was indeed shot in the groin, ouch.

Total elapsed time between filing I-129F to GC in hand 569 days or 1 Year, 6 months, 22 days.

She didn't die, no. She was injured though.

Off-duty CPD officer kills attacker in Maywood

Jones and Middleton, who had been together for more than seven years, also had a 6-year-old son and a baby girl on the way, Jones said. The two were preparing to go school shopping for their kids next week. Jones, who is five months pregnant, added that they were planning to get married next weekend and hoped to use an upcoming check to buy rings.

"He wanted to do that before we had this child, because we were getting our lives together with God and we were trying to do the right thing and then this happened," Jones said.

So it's ok to insult without profanity?

Funny ^^^^^^^^^^^^^

If we did not get a little latitude in that area I think 60% of our posts would be gone. It is a politics and religion forum. Heck you can't get 20 people together talking about the best Ketchup without a little bit of back and forth.. (Of course everyone knows it's Heinz)

I think the thing is, that on the internet people tend to try to become more than they are. I really did not buy the I own a high level Ninja for rent story. Nobody in that position wold have lead with a comment, or had the philosophy that in a life threatening situation when armed, it is best to try and use some non-lethal method to stop the enemy that may or may not be successful. I.E. try and just wing the enemy. If you are on the ground with injuries and have an combatant standing over you brutally attacking you then you use swift violent, sudden, violence in such a way to make sure they can not continue the attack. No operator with training would advocate trying to wound the combatant in this circumstance. That is Hollywood.

So tell me how using a knife to severely disable the attacker is not "swift violent, sudden, violence in such a way to make sure they can not continue the attack." You have watched WAY too many movies and think when I'm talking about real world people it is fiction. Clueless is the only word to describe it.

Look at FBI firearm requirements. An agent in full coat attire is required to be able to clear, draw, and fire ACCURATELY in less than a second. That ain't movie BS, that is a requirement thousands of agents meet to stay an agent. Granted a second is a LONG dam time and most can do it closer to a half a second.

I never claimed I own a Ninja for hire service. I own a private security service providing just that. We do work for private firms, such a Haliburton, as well as gov contracts. We are certainly not the only providers.

Since you feel the need to doubt everything. What is YOUR experience. Doubting goes both ways sport. The info/tactics I've given can easily be verified, can yours? Let's hear your vast knowledge. And remember your quote "internet people tend to try to become more than they are." which is my accurate assessment of you. Carry on :)

BTW, Heinz is the correct answer

Ten days later and no response? Good for you. You finally understand you were dead wrong and backed off. Good luck in your Visa journey :)

I just arrived back from Kabul doing my magic ninja thing

HUH... Yawn.. You mean a trained super stealth agent like yourself let an Internet Poster in some obscure group, where people are prone to BS get in his head so bad , that you stewed about it for 10 days OMG ?? really.

Dude just forget about it. none of this in here is anymore than it is... Just people pontificating on what ever soap box they are on at the moment and none of it has any real importance in the grand scheme of things.
