Hello VJ members!

while i am waiting to get case number from NVC i am preparing to fill out the forms for packet 3.

could you please give me a checklist for packet 3. under embassy info i went there in mumbai consulate where it doesn't say that we need to send DS 156 but from other vj members i found out we should so please correct me that what forms did you send as a packet 3 and how? is it quicker to send it as an e mail or drop off to VFS?

in mumbai consulate website i print the instructions for packet 3 where it says enclouser

so do we need to send two copy of DS 156 and affidavit of support and passport photos in packet 3????????????

Talk about confused....I am almost finished at NVC and I still do not know what this packet 1, packet 2, packet 3, and packet 4 stuff is all about.....This must be VJ terminology only.

dnt be confuse it is the process we need to do after it routed to embassy in your fiance's country i would encourage to check your fiance's country embassy info in it and it might has all the info but in my case it is little confusing in fo in there so i submit the topic here.

Hey.. U only need to send one copy of DS-230 and DS-156k and photo. If you send it via email then right away u will get interview scheduled. I think ur noa2 date is 8 aug. so wait for another 10 days or so and send through email. Do not wait to packet 3 arrival. If u get case number then that's enough. Call DOS this week. They will give u case no.

is it DS 156 or DS 156k?????? and if you send these forms in e-mail did you put photo on the form or you send it seperately???????????

i will call tomorrow to NVC and then will call DOS to find out that Mumbai Consulate receive our file or not.

thank you i called NVC today and got my case # and told me to call next week to find out that they send my file to mumbai or not. once i know that i will email packet 3.
