What I'm trippin' on is they said the relationship isn't bona fide enough for a fiancee visa, but they'll use the same American fiancee as a reason to deny a tourist visa afterwards. If the CO denies the tourist visa, ask them to put in a good word for you when you come for a fiancee visa again.

The US Embassy is concerned about people using visas to fraudulently immigrate to the US.

Whether it's a fiancée visa or tousist visa, the US Embassy is concerned that this individual is using whatever visa he can get to illegally immigrate to the US.

The US Embassy is not using conflicting reasons to deny both visas. The same reason applies - illegal immigration.

Before anybody goes off on me, I am not accusing the OP of anything. I am just commenting on what the US Embassy might be thinking.

Since you are living together, why don't you get married and apply for Spousal Visa. You have evidence to show since you leave together, and all the evidence for 5 year relationship should be sufficient.

Your best bet is to get married and apply for a CR-1 spousal visa.

I went to the interview with my fiance's mother. The embassy did not say a word. The officer actually spent more time talking to me he only asked her 2 questions and chatted with me for 10 minutes about Washington DC where we are both from. Her B2 visa was approved. So I would say you can have a USC at your interview.
