Hi, I am a Airforce member trying to get a 2nd opion on my case of expedition

I received my NOA 1 on May 7 2012. I moved from England to my new duty station in Virginia July 2012. Prior to England I was stationed in South Korea where I met my fiance. Now going off the current timeline that puts me at marriage right around November-December with no problems. I have about 3 more months of waiting for my NOA2. The unit I am with is a highly active unit that is very likely to deploy in December we are also very active and are the spear head in any national conflict. Now if the visa at the current rate gets approved in December and I end of leaving in December we will have to start from scratch. That would severely hinder my mental health and not make for a pleasant scenario. Now currently I am training on the new system so I have about 4-5 months of non-deployments. If I shave 2-3 months off the application time it would defiantly save us from starting the application over again.

I have already requested to expedite the application today. But i was looking for any advice in how to word my response. The officer on the phone gave me a ticket number so I am expecting a reply soon. I am not trying to get over on the system we have already been away from each other in our 3 year relationship 12+ months. We just don't want to be screwed by the system trying to do the right thing.

Thank you in advance.

Back when we applied for a visa, last year, you would have to be getting deployed to get expedites, however since then I have seen many people who have requested expedites and have gotten approved no problem. Not that there is anything wrong with it but I personally find the drastic change in such short period of time unfair.

To suggest a way in case your expedite doesn't get approved. You can email the consulate, explain your situation and ask them to set the interview for a later date. Also your fiancee's visa will be good for six months since the day she receives it physically in her passport.
