Hello Everyone,

A little background, fiancee got here on K-1 Visa & now applying for AOS. I was filling out the Advance Parole form (I-131) & had a few questions. We will be filing this along with I-485 (AOS package).

  • Part 7 - Complete Only If Applying for Advance Parole
  • Question 2 & 3 - Left it Empty since travel document does not need to be delivered outside US (please can someone verify this?)

Below are the proofs I'm planning on attaching - Am I missing anything?

  • Proof of status - Photocopy of I-94 Visa stapled to passport
  • 2 Passport Photos (Name written on the back)
  • Color Photocopy of Passport (proof of photo identity)
  • NOT SUBMITTING a page explaining why advance parole is required since application is being filed along with AOS package - IS THIS OK?

Thanks in advance.

I would put in N/A as the USCIS does not like blank spaces

Good luck,

Dave

Yes, check more than one trip and leave #2 and #3 blank. As seen in the example form: http://www.visajourney.com/examples/INS-Form-I-131.pdf

Below are the proofs I'm planning on attaching - Am I missing anything?

  • Proof of status - Photocopy of I-94 Visa stapled to passport <-- Copy of K-1 visa for this
  • 2 Passport Photos (Name written on the back) <-- Add the A# on the backs too
  • Color Photocopy of Passport (proof of photo identity) <-- You only need a copy of the biographical page from the passport
  • NOT SUBMITTING a page explaining why advance parole is required since application is being filed along with AOS package - IS THIS OK? <-- That is correct and OK. No letter of explanation is needed.

Thanks in advance.
